Revue des Deux Mondes
Fortnightly literary and arts review, first published in Paris in 1829. It was edited by François Buloz (1831-77), and among its contributors were Charles-Augustin Sainte-Beuve, Honoré de Balzac, Victor Hugo, Hippolyte Taine, and Ernest Renan. It was later edited by Ferdinand Brunetière (1893-1906). Publication was suspended in 1944, but it re-appeared in 1948, re-named La Revue de Littérature, Histoire, Arts et Sciences des Deux Mondes.
